Baby Bags....

So lately I have been looking into diaper bags! I honestly never knew there were so many different kinds and so many different price ranges. Diaper bags can be as simple as a tote or as extravagant as a Gucci bag. There also seems to be many schools or thought on what exactly makes a "good" diaper bag. Is the bigger the better? Is the one with the most compartments the best? Who knows! I can honestly say that I have no idea from looking at a picture which bag is better than the other. I can only assume that I want one that will hold quite a lot and also possible has a place to put the bottles and other necessitates. There is one minor problem in all of this though....most of them are heinous! After spending quite a bit of time looking at all the celebrity blogs, Nordstroms and Neiman Marsuc here are a few bags that I thought looked the best out of the options.

Burberry

Obviously, I added a few that I can only dream about but it sure it fun to dream! The Burberry is amazing but for some reason I dont know if I can see John allowing me to spend $800 + dollars on something that carries diapers and breast milk? What do you think? ha. Beides that one, the others range from $80 to $400. I still have to do more research and see which things I like and cant live without but I think my first mission would be to find these bags in person. My luck, I would fall inlove with a bag, order it and it is totally a bust! Well looks like i'll be making a trip to Atlanta some time soon!

Mondays!

Shouldn't every Monday start with a cup cake???

(Yes, I know I am obsessed with her..how could you not be?!?)

Mother's Day

Yesterday was Mother's Day and I figured that in lou of the holiday I would dedicate this post to my mom! Sadly, I was not able to spend yesterday with mom my due to the fact that we live 3 hours apart and we just saw eachother two weeks prior. However, I will say that I probably talked to her atleast 4 times. That may seem like a lot to most people but that is about average for us. My mom has truly become one of my best friends over the years. We talk on the phone several times a day and dont go more than a month without seeing eachother. I am so excited for her to meet Luke and I know she feels the same. She has been so excited through out this whole pregnancy and I cant wait to see how much Luke will love his Nana. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day MOM! I love you!

25 weeks / Andy and Lindsey's wedding in Sarasota

Holy Moly, I am 25 weeks and growing every day! It is so crazy to me that I am going to get even bigger than I already am! Ahh!! I can honestly say that I never thought I would see the day that I am unable to do the simple tasks in life like tying a shoe or shaving my legs but im afraid that reality may in fact happen to me. The bigger I get the more difficult little tasks become. I figured out very quickly that sitting down on the air plane this weekend and bending over to pick up my purse was a task that was going to take more effort than I was willing to put in! Maybe I should looking into one of those claw things with a really long arm like the old people have. ha. Who knows!

This past weekend, we flew to Sarasota Florida to attend one of Johns good high school and college friends, Andy Capps, wedding. The weekend was absolutely amazing and we spent a lot of quality time with both Auburn and Knoxville friends.

Crazy enough, one of my best childhood friends was at the wedding as well. It was wonderful seeing Megan and hanging out with her and Patrick.

Here is a picture of 3 different best friends of mine, all from different stages of my life. Jayme on the left is one of my best friends from Auburn. We roomed together for 3 years and are as close as close gets. Bev is in the middle and Bev is my savior in Knoxville. We met through our husbands who happen to be best friends themselves and clicked right away! Meg is on the right and like I said previously, I have known Megan almost my whole life. I have memories dating all the way back to playing barbies with her! Having all my friends from differnt parts of my life together was so fun! We spent a lot of time on the beach and going out to dinner. We spent a lot of time eating in an area called St. Armands Circle. It was so cute and had a lot to do.

The resort we all stayed at was the Long Boat Key Club Resort. It was wonderful! Our room over looked the ocean and was just what John and I needed. It was a fun yet relaxing weekend at the beach before the baby arrives. John was in heaven all weekend. He was surrounded by both his college and high school friends and I was occupied with my friends. I think he drank his weight in beer and burned it off playing corn hole on the beach. ha. Anyways, all and all the weekend was wonderful! The wedding was a blast and the accomidations were fabulous! Here is a picture of all Johns buddies on the beach.

Easter Weekend / First Shower!

On Easter weekend this year, John and I packed up and headed down to Ponte Vedra Beach Florida. Lucky for us, both my family and several of our college best friends live in the same town so it makes for a very fun but jam packed weekend whenever we head down that way. Friday night we got into Ponte Vedra and headed straight for my cousins house. My parents were already there as well as the rest of the family so we headed that way for dinner. After meeting up with everyone and eating some amazing gumbo, we headed for the beach condo with my cousins to meet up with some of our college friends. We spent rest of the night hanging out with everyone and "relaxing" till about 2am. The next day was great. We started off the morning by going to breakfast at The Beach Hut. It is Johns absolute favorite so we go almost every time we are in town. After Breakfast, John and I split up for the day. He went surfing with his guy friends and I went with my cousins to my 1st baby shower. My mom had planned a little shower with several of her friends as well as all my family that was in town for Easter. All and all I would say there was about 15 or so people there and it was so sweet. I was able to see all my cousins, Aunts and mom's close friends and spend time talking with each of them. It was so nice catching up with everyone and seeing several of them that I had not seen in quite some time. The shower had all my favorite foods and I was in heaven. ha. My mom did such a good job! The next day was Easter. Whenever we are in Ponte Vedra for Eater, it is always a big one! The morning started out with John surfing again (because he now loves the sport) and then heading over to my cousins house for an Easter egg hunt and Easter lunch. The Easter Egg hunt that goes on at their house is no normal Easter egg hunt! ha. The eggs contain money and everyone from toddlers to grandparents are out in the yard searching for the eggs! This year, I knew we had to do well. John and combined forces and split off to hopefully find the most as well as the best eggs! Well boy did we have luck on our side this year! Not only did we find the most eggs, we also found several of the high dollar eggs! After combining our loot, we walked away the big winners with a toal of $500!! I coundn't believe it! We were so excited and knew exactly where the money was going.....Luke's Nursery! After the egg hunt, we had a nice lunch with everyone and then after relaxing for a bit it was time to head home. Over all the weekend was absolutely wonderful! We had a great time with friends and family, a wonderful baby shower and we were leaving with a piggy bank full for Luke's Nursery! Below are several pics of the shower. I'll add more as I get them!
