December 22nd Dr. Appointment

Today was my 6 week Doctors appointment. For those of you who are new to the stages in pregnancy, today was a big day because we were hoping to hear the babies heartbeat. At my last appointment, I was not far along enough to see a baby or a heartbeat so today was a very exciting day. Since it was one of the fun appointments, John decided to join me in hopes of hearing the heartbeat. He is not normally one for the doctors office, so I was so excited that he decided to come. As soon as we got there, the nerves began. Its a very weird feeling knowing that you have something inside of you that you have absolutely no control over. Luckily, we were very blessed and heard a heartbeat right away. The baby was measuring at 6 weeks and 2 days and had a fetal heartbeat of 120. It was such a relief to hear that wonderful sound. I dont think I have experienced a sound that comforting in my life. Although we heard a heartbeat, we still were not able to see much of the baby. It is just still so small, it just looks like a little blob. Here is a pic!
